THEE IRMA & LOUISE from Bern have been around for over 20 years now, and the greasy basement garage punk trio of the past has now become a graying basement garage synthpunk quartet. A bit delayed for the bands twentieth anniversary, the new record «YEAR ZERO» is released. Since the term "Covid record" no longer attracts anybody, let's just say that «YEAR ZERO» reflects the greatest hits of the last few years: Depression «Black Bile Blues», Armageddon «They Came from Within», cosmic horror «Black Matheme», «Tentacular Spectacular» and in between the occasional saloon piano «La Muerte Sobre Ruedas».

The 11 songs wander between DEAD MOON-flavoured garage rock, nervous synth-surf-punk and psychedelic post-punk, and of course STOOGES handclaps should not be missing. The record is dedicated to the highly respected Olifr M. Guz, who died shortly before the start of the Corona crisis, and whose song "Monitor" is being covered.
